Agassiz Village is nestled on 330 acres of sprawling fields, rolling hills, hiking trails, and waterfront property that stretches two miles. The venue offers the ideal combination of nature and rustic charm, and its picturesque Lake Thompson shoreline provides the perfect backdrop for exquisite wedding photo opportunities.

Cabins

We have 16 camper cabins and each one has room for 14-16 campers. We have additional cabins dedicated to housing for staff.  Our Maloney Hall is set up like a lodge with 12 single room and a meeting area.

AV Dining Hall

Our dining hall is one of the largest freestanding log cabin structures in the world. The building is rich in history and makes for a great rustic setting for any event. The building has two bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, a wrap-around porch, and a large lawn. The rental of the building includes the use of our tables and benches, which can seat up to a maximum of 250 people (150 guests is recommended for most comfortable seating).

Amphitheater

The Warren H. Burroughs Outdoor Amphitheater is one of our newest additions to the Agassiz campus. It seats about 275 people and features a large stage that overlooks our waterfront and beautiful Thompson Lake. Most wedding parties opt to use this setting to exchange vows before heading to the dining hall.

Gazebo

Our gazebo once housed a carousel from the Barnum & Bailey's Circus, complete with a Wurlitzer organ. The carousel was removed in 1998, but the gazebo structure remained. It was renovated and restored to its former beauty by the crew from Maine Cabin Masters. It may be used for outdoor activities and meetings.

Health Center

The Richard and Susan Smith Family Foundation Health Center has also been recently updated. During summer sessions, it is our on-campus nursing center. For rental events, the health center—which includes four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a kitchen area—is typically used as the meeting center since it has Internet connectivity.
